Text Narration of Audio File
The vocabulary is broken up into
weekly chapter groups. Each of the vocabulary groups consists of 10
vocabulary words. Links to the word lists can be found on the left hand
side of the page. Each word list has a corresponding practice activity
that will help students learn the new words. Links to the practice activities
can be found on the right hand side of the page.
In the story, Kevin (or Freak)
makes Max look up the definitions of words he does not understand. Then,
Freak explains the definition in terms that Max can understand. In the
back of the book, is a dictionary of Freak’s terms and definitions.
Many of the words in the vocabulary lists use these definitions instead
of the actual dictionary definitions. So, each of the vocabulary pages
has a warning to remind users that the definitions are not all dictionary
definitions.
