The Links page provides
students with the opportunity to extend their novel study.
All of these links pop
up in new windows so that the
user can easily return to the eLearning site by closing the new window.
Most of these links are to other activities. These activities are optional,
I encourage the students who have enjoyed the book to try some of the
additional activities available on the internet.
As you can see on this
page, I am willing to offer Extra Credit for some of these activities
on a case by case basis. I understand that some students have bad days,
or are just unable to do well and/or complete specific assignments.
The extra credit provides students with a way of making up for the extenuating
circumstances.
Two of the links are
marked “For Teachers”. These sites offer lesson plans and
tips for use with the novel.
Also on this page is
a link to the author, Rodman Philbrick’s, web site. He offers
many resources for this novel as well as his other books. The site offers
resources for both students and teachers.
