Chapter 6 Essay

Question:

You have now read the sixth chapter of Farmer Boy. In this chapter, Father, Almanzo, and Royal went to the pond to collect ice. They pack the ice in sawdust in the ice-house. Why? How is their ice-house going to keep the ice cold so that it will last the whole year? Do some research on ice-houses to see how they work. Non-detailed responses will NOT be accepted.
