Question:

You have now read the first fourteen chapters of Little House on the Prairie. Mary and Laura were very excited about the beads that they had found at the Indian camp. Then, when they got home, Mary offered her beads to Baby Carrie. Laura got up the courage to do the right thing and give her beads to Baby Carrie also, but she didn't like it. In fact, the story says that Laura couldn't not even look at Mary because she really wanted to slap her. Have you ever felt like Laura did? Have you ever done the right thing, but deep down inside you continued to wish that you didn't have to? It is always easy to do the right thing? Have you ever been so mad at someone that you wanted to pay them back? Discuss a time when you were faced with a similar situation. What did you do? Did you do what was right? How did it make you feel? How did it make the people around you feel? Non-detailed responses will NOT be accepted.
