Chapter 22 Essay

Question:

You have now read chapter 22 of On the Banks of Plum Creek. Mary and Laura met several children their age when they started to attend school. As with many of the children that you meet, some of these children might become their life-long friends. Others, might be just fellow classmates or even enemies. The girls are invited to join the other girls in their class at a party at Nellie Oleson's house. What do you think about the Oleson's house? How is their house different from the house that Pa had built for the Ingalls's family? How are they the same?

Nellie Oleson is just one of the little girls that Mary and Laura meet. Nellie has a lot of beautiful belonging that Mary and Laura have never seen before. How does Nellie treat her belongings? How dooes she treet the other girls? What do you think about Nellie? Is she a nice person? Do you know anyone like Nellie? Compare Nellie to students that you might know in your class. How are they the same, how are they different? Non-detailed responses will NOT be accepted.
