Chapter 7 Essay

 

INSTRUCTIONS: The essay questions must will be answered using a word processor and formatted according to class guidelines, printed, and submitted to the teacher before the next reading day.

 

Question:

You have now read chapter 7 of The Mouse and the Motorcycle. WOW! This was Ralph's most exciting adventure yet! Who knew a vacuum cleaner could be so dangerous. Have you every been using a vacuum and sucked up something you shouldn't have? What was it? Did you rescue it, or was it gone for good? Write one paragraph about your vacuum cleaning experience.
Then, choose a topic and write a short story:
a) Imagine if Ralph were to be sucked up in the vacuum cleaner hose. What could have happened to him (don't be gruesome!!)? How could he have escaped?
b) Imagine what could have happened if Ralph had not been able to chew his way out of the hamper. Where would he go? What would have happened next? Would he have escaped?  Non-detailed responses will NOT be accepted.
