Question:

You have now read chapter 29 of On the Banks of Plum Creek. Laura and Mary usually run to the creek to play when Anna, Mrs. Nelson's baby, comes by. Today, it is too cold to play outside, so they must stay and play with Anna. When Laura pulls out her doll, Charlotte, after Anna tears up their paper doll, Anna insists on keeping her. Laura is devistated when Ma tells Laura to let Anna have Charlotte. Later, Laura dredded going to the Nelson's because she was afraid she would find Anna playing with Charlotte. However, Anna no longer had Charlotte. Where was Charlotte? What happened to her? How would you feel if you were in Laura's position? When Ma asks Laura about what happened, she says she stole Charlotte. Would you agree with Laura? What would your parent have done if you were in that position? Non-detailed responses will NOT be accepted.
