INSTRUCTIONS: The essay questions must will be answered using a word processor and formatted according to class guidelines, printed, and submitted to the teacher before the next reading day.
You have now read all of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Answer the following questions in a five-paragraph essay:
- At the end of the story, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy discuss their adventures with the Professor. He does not seem to shocked to hear about the outrageous events. Why do you think this is?
- There are six more books in The Chronicles of Narnia. What do you think will happen next? Will they return to Narnia as the professor hinted? What will it be like?
- Did you enjoy reading this novel? What were your favorite parts? What did you not like about it? Which character do you think is most like you? Why?
- OPTIONAL: This story parallels the Christian story of Jesus. If you would like, include some thoughts on this connection. Who do the characters represent? What events does the story depict?
- Hint: After you have finished this essay and the other final activities, and you would like to find out what happens, try reading the other books! (There are bonus points involved!)
- The Professor's adventures are told in The Magician's Nephew.
- See what it was like during Peter, Susan, and Edmund and Lucy's reign in The Horse and His Boy.
- See if Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy really do return in Prince Caspian.
- For even more adventures, read the rest of the series Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair, and The Last Battle.
