Question:

You have now read the nineteenth chapter of Little House on the Prairie. Chapter 19 is all about the Christmas at the Ingalls's little house. Describe some of the things that happen. What do the children get for Christmas? What do they have for dinner? Who comes to bring the presents? Make sure you use at least three of the five senses (sight, sound, taste, touch, smell) in your description.

Then, compare and contrast the Ingalls's Christmas with Christmas at your house. You might include a Venn Diagram to help you organize your thoughts. How are the experiences the same? How are they different? Give at least two reasons why they are the same or different. You could also use pictures of each to help you describe the similarities and differences. Explain your answer. Non-detailed responses will NOT be accepted.
