Question:

You have now read the third chapter of Little House in the Big Woods. Pa carefully cleans his gun and makes bullets each evening. Many households today do not have guns, but in the days of Laura's childhood, having a gun was very important. Write a paragraph about why guns were an important element in the Ingalls household. Give at least 2 reasons why Pa always kept his gun ready to use. Make sure you go into details.  Non-detailed responses will NOT be accepted.
