Question:

You have now finished reading Little House in the Big Woods. Laura hears her father playing "Auld Lang Syne" and asks him what it means. When he tells her it is about a time long ago, she is confused because she cannot see more than her present times. The song is about times that are often forgotten about years later. Laura thought for sure that her "now" would never be forgotten. In a way, she was right, because she wrote the stories down for others to read. How did her writing the Little House on the Prairie series ensure that future generations would not forget about her time? Did you enjoy reading the stories about her "now"? What do you think the next books will be about? Do you think you will want to read the others? Write one-three paragraphs to describe your thoughts. Make sure you go into details.  Non-detailed responses will NOT be accepted.
