Question:

You have now read the eighth chapter of Farmer Boy. On pages 90-91,it says, "Almanzo couldn't understand how Father knew that we wasn't looking at the preacher, if Father was looking at the preacher himself. But Father always did know." Parents, and teachers, always seem to know when we are doing something wrong, even if they cannot actually see us doing it. How do you think adults know these things? Is this a good thing, or a bad thing? Why do you feel this way? Non-detailed responses will NOT be accepted.
