Question:

You have now read the ninth chapter of Farmer Boy. Why do you think Almanzo decided to hitch his calves up to his father's bobsled? Would his father have approved of this? Was this a good decision? What do you think he meant, when Almanzo told his father, "I found out I have to break Star and Bright to drive when I ride."? Why did he stay in the barnyard with the calves after that? Was this decision better, or worse, than his first decision? Non-detailed responses will NOT be accepted.
