Question:

You have now read the eleventh chapter of Farmer Boy. Almanzo and Alice have a discussion about whether it is better to be a boy or a girl. What does Almanzo say is good about being a boy? Why does Alice like being a girl? In the time period of the story, certain chores were saved for girls, while others were only for boys. How is it different today? Are girl-chores and boy-chores as distinct today? Why do you think this is? Non-detailed responses will NOT be accepted.
